Excuse me Cloverfield, I think your missing something!

Went to see Cloverfield the other day. The film has no plot. What a waste of a pretty good idea. But it did have one the ugliest looking monster i’ve seen on film.

I wanted to run screaming from the theatre, I wanted to be scared out of my skin, I wanted to hide behind the sofa (or cinema chair in this instance), but the film just couldn’t deliver unfortunately. So very very disappointing.

  • What, you weren’t influenced by the viral marketing campaign that had (mostly) young audiences lining up like sheep that first weekend or two, braying for admittance? And when they get inside, what do they find? A gussied up Godzilla flick. P.T. Barnum would’ve loved the kind of wankers that get sucked into shelling out ten bucks for a bit of splash and spectacle, CGI for idjits raised on television and video games and who think a book is a quaint artifact. Fans of great cinema can only despair…

  • Ah! in the UK, i hardly saw any adverts for cloverfield. when i asked people do you wanna see iy. they didn’t even know what I was talking about. one girl thought i was talking about a flower.

  • Well, I’m not surprised. Most films that start out with a campaign like this one did, failed to meet expectations at the box office.

I haven’t seen it yet but’ll probably rent it when it’s released on DVD.

  • ur grammar’s even more disappointing :P
    hahah jokes
wow didnt know u hated cloverfield tht much since u were so hyped up about it at the beginning!

    wot a shame ..

  • i was a little excited not hyped.
it was just disappointing the more i think about, i had so many expectations for that film and it just didnt live up to any of them.
